PS WAGUNDA ATTENDS THE SWEARING IN OF PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS PETITIONS COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed chairperson and members of the Public Private Partnerships Petitions Committee (PPPPC) presided over by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Hon. Winfridah Mokaya at the Supreme Court Building, Nairobi.

The five-member Committee shall be chaired by Mr. Stephen Odhiambo Anditi was appointed on February 9,  2026 by Lady Justice Martha Koome, the Chief Justice and the Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for a three-year period.

The Tribunal is designed to provide a specialized, efficient, and credible forum for resolving disputes arising from PPP processes—thereby safeguarding investor confidence, protecting public resources, and ensuring that projects are not derailed by protracted litigation.

The PS congratulated the five on their well-deserved appointment saying they were appointed on merit owing to their qualifications and extensive experience.

PS Wagunda further commended the judiciary for ensuring that the appointments reflect the face of Kenya.
On her part, Hon. Mokaya implored the Committee members to discharge their duties without fear or favour, and to exercise their mandate with integrity, impartiality, and fidelity to the law.

"This morning, you have assumed a role that sits at the intersection of justice, economic policy, and public accountability. The effectiveness of this Tribunal will be measured not only by the disputes it resolves, but by the confidence it inspires in the PPP ecosystem," said the Chief Registrar.

The Director General of Public Private Partnerships Kenya  Eng. Kefa Seda was present during the occasion.
