The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today hosted the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Oil Corporation of Kenya Mr. Duncan Waziri who paid him a courtesy visit at the Treasury Building.

The CEO briefed the PS on the operations of the Corporation which was established in 1981 and has a prominent footprint in the petroleum supply chain.

Mr. Waziri made an elaborate presentation on the strategic projects and initiatives that National Oil is currently pursuing in line with their vision of providing security in the supply of petroleum products in the country as well as developing and producing oil and gas resources for the benefit of the Kenyan populace.

The Corporation was recently converted to a Government-Owned Enterprise (GOE) following the enactment of the GOEs Act of 2025.

PS Wagunda reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the revitalization of National Oil to enable the Corporation to effectively fulfill its core mandate.
