The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management, Mr. Cyrell Wagunda, convened a meeting with the Budget Implementation Committee (BIC) to review the recently allocated 2025/26 Supplementary Budget estimates.

The session focused on identifying priority programmes, projects, and initiatives across the State Department, with emphasis on aligning resource allocation to strategic objectives.

In line with the Public Finance Management Act,2012, the PS underscored the BIC’s mandate to ensure fiscal discipline, prudent utilization of public resources, and accountability in budget execution. He emphasized the Committee’s role in safeguarding value for taxpayers, maintaining clean audit records, and reinforcing confidence in public financial management.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Committee’s oversight function and the overall success of the State Department in delivering efficient and transparent public investment outcomes
